Yazoo Mississippi Delta Joint Water Management District Board of Commissioners

The Board of Commissioners of YMD consists of representatives from each member county, appointed by the Board of Supervisors of that county.  Each member county is entitled to one (1) representative for every $100,000,000, or fraction thereof in excess of $100,000,000, in total assessed valuation, based upon the valuation for the immediately preceding tax year.

For example, counties having $100,000,000 or less in total assessed valuation are entitled to one (1) representative; counties having more than $100,000,000 but less than $200,000,000 in total assessed valuation are entitled to two (2) representatives; counties having more than $200,000,000 but less than $300,000,000 in total assessed valuation are entitled to three (3) representatives. 

The YMD Joint Water Management District Board of Commissioners meets at 10:00 am on the third Wednesday of each month at the YMD office building in Stoneville. These are open meetings and the public is invited to attend.
